Help what do i do to my new xbox 360 dvd drive?

Hello i received the open tray error a while back. it worked after a few tries for a while but just a couple days ago the drive finally died. Well i went on amazon and purchased a new drive. The original drive was a Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L rom version 0046DG. I searched everywhere and could not find a replacement 0046DG anywhere. so i purchased a new Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L rom version 79FK. Now will i just be able to swap the circuit boards from the old one to the new and be good to go? or do i have to flash it? i also purchased a sata hard drive cable from amazon just in case. is this all i will need besides the programs i will have to download? and if anyone has anymore tips can you please help? thanks so much again im noob at this totally. thanks again
